Park Bench Group Counseling is seeking a Compliance Officer to join their awesome team in Somers Point, NJ!

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
Plan, direct, or coordinate activities of the organization to ensure compliance with ethical or regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Consistently reviews and ensures compliance with DDAP regulations, HIPAA, JC, and all local, state and federal regulations that govern the industry
Analyzes new and pending laws and regulations at both the federal and state level
Assist in preparation for inspection with DDAP, HIPPA, JC and all local, state and federal governing bodies.
Work directly with Facility Director and Regional Vice President to assist in operational matters
Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as incident reports, complaints received or investigation outcomes.
File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies and corporate officers
Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues
Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required
Assist Facility Director in the creation, maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures.
Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities
Assists with the implementation of policies and procedures, including but not limited to reviewing and preparing policy updates and/or amendments
Audit clinical, medical, admission and utilization review charts to ensure compliance, including but not limited to, conducting periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed
Serve as a confidential point of contact for employees to communicate with management, seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or report irregularities.
Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures
Assists in educating employees regarding compliance responsibilities and reporting requirements
Review client grievances
Assists in standardizing risk management reporting, (including but not limited to) compliance reviews and training records
Assists with gathering data and report preparation
Assists in compiling data for state audits
Assists with special projects dealing with various compliance issues
Attends a variety of Committee meetings
Serves as chair of Performance Improvement Committee
Keeps abreast of industry activity through attendance at seminars and workshops
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work independently and within guidelines and practices, while at the same time being a team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite that includes word, excel, power point and database software
Must be detailed oriented and demonstrate strong organizational, research, analytical and communications skills
Ability to communicate effectively - orally and in writing
Displays high standards of ethical conduct; proven record of honesty and integrity
Knowledge of New Jersey State Law, CFR and HIPAA regulations
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree required; Master's desired.
A degree in Paralegal Studies from an accredited institution desired.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a healthcare organization, to include demonstrated leadership.
Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations is a must.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
