Nurse Manager-Emergency Department

Position Summary
The Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department & Pediatric Care Center is the leadership employee responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the management, administrative operations and clinical practice activities within one or more areas on a twenty-four hour basis.
Scope of Responsibilities
Coordinates the product line that provides direct patient care
Display strong nursing process and critical thinking skills
Serves as a clinical resource and works with staff in the clinical setting to advance their level of clinical competence, critical thinking and professional practice
Collaborates with health care team in identifying and implementing new or revised practice standards
Assists the clinical educator in maintaining competency of team members, orientation of staff & in-service education
Assumes accountability for managing the delivery of patient care
Monitors completion of tasks and patient outcomes assigned to nurses and nursing support staff
Manages, disciplines, and hires unit nursing staff
Position maintains 24 hour accountability for the Emergency Department/Pediatric Care Center
A minimum of two years Emergency Department management experience
7 years ED Nursing experience
BSN & valid NJ RN License; MSN Preferred
BLS, ACLS, PALS, IV & Dysrhythmia certification
Intermediate computer skills, excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the ability to lift, push and pull

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
