Lead Patient Services Representative

General Summary
Responsible for completing the following tasks in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner:
The Lead PSR coordinates appropriate staff coverage optimizing facility occupancy to create an ideal patient and customer experience

The Lead PSR orients and trains new PSR's
The Lead PSR provides administrative and clerical support to the department managers and director with various functional responsibilities and assists with direct program operations as required.
The Lead PSR assists the various specialties through the development, implementation and adherence to office procedures and processes that support optimal patient care in a multidisciplinary setting. The Lead PSR directs the work activities of the all program personnel.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.
Acts as a role model for the staff
Promotes and fosters team work
Supports staffing, training and daily operations of the department and acts as a point of contact for the PSRs in the absence of the practice manager
Ensures staff are informed of and comply with written policies and procedures to support clinic
Serves as a liaison to the practice manager regarding issue resolution
Receives, processes, and documents referral requests to and from the office
Attains pre-certifications prior to scheduling procedures
Answers and directs telephone calls
Greets and arrives patients
Verifies insurance, benefits, coverage, and eligibility
Registers all patients as well as verifies and updates demographic information
Assemble new patient medical records in accordance with policies and procedures
Schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments
Assists patients with ancillary appointment scheduling and forms
Files incoming medical reports, faxes and correspondence
Collects monies for copays, supplies, and services rendered
Reacts in a timely manner to resolve patient complaints promoting customer service
Minimum Requirements
HS diploma or equivalent
2-4 years medical office experience required
Excellent organization skills and superb customer service acumen
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance, and medical practice services, and routines
Preferences
Athena Experience

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
