RN, ED Care Manager

Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 hour shifts with a flexible start time from 8am-10am/Weekends required
Position Summary
As a member of the ED care team, the Emergency Department Care Manager ensures the patients' progress throughout the emergent episode of care in an efficient and effective manner. Using nationally recognized, established clinical decision support criteria, the Care Manger recommends the appropriateness of services, level of care, and setting for all admissions. The Care Manager acts as a patient advocate and communication link among patient, family, providers, and payers.
Minimum Requirements
NJ Licensed RN
BLS certification
A minimum of 3 years experience in hospital utilization management and care management
Knowledge and expertise in computer skills to include, Microsoft Word, and EXCEL
Demonstrated ability to work in a complex setting, excellence in communication skills, both verbal and written and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times in keeping with hospital policy
Preferred Requirements:
BSN preferred
3-5 years Emergency Department experience
CCM

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
