Boiler Room Supervisor

Position Summary
The Boiler Room Supervisor is responsible for leading the service and maintenance all mechanical/ electrical systems of the hospital including but not limited to: high pressure boilers, hot water boilers, chillers, building automation systems, and HVAC equipment. This position will be responsible for supervising the work of other boiler operators, training subordinates, and performing corrective and preventative maintenance.
Core Responsibilities
Employee conduct and discipline ; Hold staff accountable, and when directed to do so complete oral and/or written counseling
When directed in the absent of the director, chief engineer and electrical supervision the boiler room supervisor will establish leadership of the overall department
Must complete SMC LDI program
As directed assist in new employee hiring and interviewing process
Without prior notice respond to the hospital in the event of an emergency or natural disaster
Participate in annual budget process and capital planning
Coach team members within the department to meet department and hospital standards
Assist with the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and guidelines
As directed assistance the chief engineer with annual employee evaluations
Provide upward department leadership communication of overall function of the Plant Operations Department
Contribute ideas for cost reduction or improvement
As Boiler Room Supervisor mentor all new broiler room employees and trainees
Qualifications
Blue Seal High Pressure License
Blue Seal refrigeration license preferred
Must have a background in industrial and institutional maintenance
Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics
Ability to operate and maintain hospital high pressure boilers, hot water boilers, chillers, building automation systems, HVAC equipment
Knowledge of electrical distribution systems
Excellent mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork in a timely fashion
Computer proficiency, with excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the Physical strength to lift heavy objects, carts, or items frequently

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
