Revenue Cycle Associate

Responsibilities
The Revenue Cycle Associate is responsible for completing the following tasks in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner:
Responsible for coding and processing medical claims
Responsible for coding and processing medical claims
Resolve patient inquiries regarding their statements
Manage Unpostable Dashboard: (all specialties, all provider groups)
Manage Correspondence Dashboard: (all specialties, all provider groups)
Work Athena Buckets as designated by Manager
Review remittance for any non-Athena outstanding claims and route to the appropriate system
Mange denials, contact insurance companies and appeal denied claims
Requisition refunds for patients and Insurance companied
Maintain patients confidentiality and perform position responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner
Collaborates with colleagues within the Revenue Cycle team, physicians and ancillary departments to become a multidisciplinary health care team.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance, and medical practice services and routines.
Previous experience in Multi-Specialty Billing
5 years' experience in a multi-specialty setting
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Experience in in CPT/ICD coding
Preference
Certification in CPT coding (CPC)
Athena Experience
Cerner / Powerchart experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
